The official handover of funds from The Giving Guild's Christmas Lunch 2011 to Jane McKenna, founder of Laura Lynn House
The Giving Guild’s first Christmas lunch raised a total of €8,433 for Laura Lynn House. Very well done to all our members whose support for our first event made it a hugely successful day in terms of both enjoyment and fundraising.
Laura Lynn House were delighted to receive our donation. Many of you remarked that you would have voted for Laura Lynn House to receive our funding again in 2012 had they been on the list so we definitely be adding them to the list for 2013. As you will remember, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland was chosen to be the beneficiary of funds raised at The Giving Guild Christmas Lunch 2012.
Speaking of which, the date is already reserved! Keep Friday, December 14th free when we hope you can join us once again.
You may remember that when you signed up to become a member, we asked only that you support our events. But if you would be willing to lend greater support, would you consider:
- Taking your own table this year or even bringing along a friend who hasn’t attended before?
- Sorting out a prize for one of our raffles?
- Helping us source wines and spirits for cocktails?
- Coming up with your own idea for a Giving Guild event?
The spirit of The Giving Guild is that we all pull together to raise funds for the charity we have chosen. If you can help, drop us an email. We’d love to hear from you.
